Common Law Admission Test 2023 (CLAT 2023) will be conducted in offline mode on December 18, 2023. The national level law entrance exam, CLAT 2023 is conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs offered by 22 national law universities.

All eligible candidates can fill CLAT Online Form 2023 (CLAT Application Form 2023) in online mode. The application process for CLAT 2023 consists of the following four steps.

Step 2: Fill the CLAT 2023 Application Form

CLAT 2023 Application Form – NLU Preference

The consortium gives an option to the candidates to select the National Law University in the order of their preference. The preference given by the candidates at the time of application process will be used at the time of counseling for the purpose of seat allotment. Hence, candidates are advised to select NLU wisely. The top ranked NLUs should be given preference over the rest of the universities. For reference, candidates can check the list of top ranked NLUs under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released by the Government of India.

CLAT 2023 Application Form – Entering Reservation Details

Most of the National Law Universities provide domicile reservation facility. So, candidates should select their reservation status if they are eligible for reservation given by any NLU. Candidates applying for domicile reservation or any other type of reservation must have a valid document issued by the competent authority.

Presently, among the CLAT participating institutes, all National Law Universities except NLU Jodhpur are offering domicile reservation.

Step 3 – Submit CLAT Online Form 2023

After filling all the sections of the application form, candidates have to sign the declaration box given at the end of the application form and submit the details.

Step 4 – CLAT 2023 Application Fee Payment

To complete the application process, the candidate has to deposit the registration fee. CLAT application fee is Rs 4,000 for general and Rs 3,500 for SC and ST candidates. Candidates can submit their application fee in online mode using net banking, credit card or debit card options.

CLAT Admit Card 2023

NLU Consortium will make available the CLAT 2023 Admit Card for the registered candidates before the exam in online mode. The admit card of CLAT is issued a few days before the exam. It is a mandatory document to appear in the exam. CLAT admit card also informs the candidates about their roll number, exam center and exam day guidelines.
